If you wish to join in the discussion, join their preparations, or at least keep up with their organizing, check out the French Velomobile group efforts for the Velo City Nantes tour (with parade through city after arrival) at http://velorizontal.bbfr.net/t19725-rassemblement-de-velomobiles-a-nantes-debut-juin-2015-velo-city
Heike Bunte, from HPV Deutschland e.V., wants to let everyone know about preparations to organize a velomobile ride from Angers, France to Nantes, France to attend the Velo City 2015 conference held there. Heike writes: “Even if 1500 delegates have a lot of cycling expertise and knowledge it’s clear from last Velo City in Vienna where HPV Germany and Future […]
And… they’re off! 15-16 velomobiles riders starting in Oslo, Norway and arriving in Berlin, Germany (via Sweden and Denmark) on August 1. I (Jimm) hope to be joining them when they arrive in Copenhagen on Tuesday July 29, and continuing southward Wednesday morning. We’ll try to keep news about the tour posted in the “Tour News” section of the Oslo-to-Berlin […]
The Olso-to-Berlin tour is holding steady at 20 riders, and The Great Baltic Sea Ride is down to 18 riders. Both tours have suffered some cancellations due to injury or family priorities. We hope all the affected riders will be able to join us in future tours!
As C.G. points out in his recent post in the forum, reserving a spot on the ferry for you and your velomobile from Copenhagen to Oslo will likely be cheaper now than later.
The GBSR tour is up to 21 participants, with 18 confirmed. EuroTour2014:OtB is up to 25 riders. This looks to be a good year for velomobile touring! Josef Janning over at the GBSR website notes that due to all the nonsense going on involving Russia, his tour route has changed to avoid the Kaliningrad enclave.. If you are riding that […]
We now have 22 riders registered (out of 33 community members) for the event!
GBSR 2014, the Great Baltic Sea Ride, will happen over three weeks in July, 2014. Nine countries, rich history, a diverse cultural heritage, and beautiful landscapes make this tour a unique experience to all participants. Currently the tour has 17 riders registered. Looks like they will have a good group for the tour. Check them out at http://www.gbsr2014.eu/
Just noticed, as I play with the event manager, that if you try to use the little login form on an event’s page, you might see a ‘blocked’ message after submitting. This is a bug I’m working on, so please ignore for now. The regular login links at the top and bottom of the website still work normally.
